Question noob question about the little light in the trunk

bulb is ok, contacts ok, but it won't burn.
i searched for a trunk-light-switch but can't find any . . . . . .
lol . . . .if you looked @ the cam you could see mee look stupid with my head in the trunk for 10 minutes lol . . . . .
can somebody tell me how it is switched on/off?
i measured voltage and got a lousy 6.5 volts from the connector but no light.

6.5V... too low. Was the bulb in there when you measured voltage? If so,you have resistance in the circuit somewhere using up like.. half your voltage.

it was without the bulb mesured at the output connector.
but . . . .is there a switch somewhere?
all cars i had, had like the doorswitch for interiorlight similar one in the trunk for the trunklight, but i cant find any switch in the trunk.

the trunklight-switch is inside the trunk locker hook thingy.

no thats to lock out the trunk so you cant use the button on the door.

Yes, the latch controls it. I'd trace ur power/grounds back and make sure they aren't pinched anywhere

lol, yes it was a bizzy day today on alero road here.
no i meant the switch wich turns on/off the trunklight is in the trunk hooky thingy (yes the electric lock lol) i know about the trunk entrance safetyswitch so you can lock it manually, thats not it.
found it in the haynes alero manual electric scheme.
