Battery Upgrade

What size battery as far as CCA and Name Brand do you guys suggest i get to upgrade from my stock battery since i have installed an audio system in my car. I have an Alpine 1000 watt class D amp and one 12 inch Type R sub in a ported enclosure. I have a 2 Farad Cap also but have not done the Big 3 since the local Radio Shack in my town has closed and i have to travel an hour away to get the 1 gauge wire that i need. Im also thinking about adding another 4 channel Alpine to power my Alpine front and rear speakers if that info helps out as well.

Remove the capacitor as it does more damage than helps off of stock electrical. I'd recommend either a Deka 9a31, Kinetik HC1200-1800, or an XS D6500. I'd avoid a red top, or even a yellow top for that matter, if this is for the should purpose of running an amplifier. Honestly, you'll see maybe 800-900 watts running small electrical, you could probably pull off just the big three.

Yellow top since you have a system.

I run a Red Top, but I don't have a system in my car

Left my fan switch on 3 times and it charged back up with NO problems. Running 14.2 volts at idle during the day and around 13.8 at the lowest, at night

If you are stuck on either a Red Top or a Yellow Top, it would only make sense to go with th Yellow Top here then. The Yellow Top is a deep cycle battery therefore you wouldn't have to worry about draining it as it will be fine just to charge back up to full capacity again.

From the power you are running, you will be fine with just the Big Three and the second battery. I'd again recommend any of the above. For the same price, some of those would better fit your situation, but if you are again between these two, go with the Yellow Top.

Lastly, please lose the capacitor. Honestly, like I said before, it is harming your electrical more than it is helping.
