What Could This Be?
Well guys the other day I was getting ready to leave for work. So I started up my car and turned the AC on so that it would be cool when I got in the car to leave. Well when I got ready to leave I noticed that my Anti-Lock light, Service Vehicle Soon light, and Trac Off light were on and were staying on. Well I turned the car off and started back and the lights went off. Well now almost everytime I start the car they come on. Sometimes turning it off then back on will turn them off and sometimes it won't. Also sometimes they come on and off while I'm driving. Now my assumption is that its the sensor, but I just want to be sure that's it. So if you guys have any ideas as to what it is that could be causing this other than what I think it is. Please let me know. Oh and here is a pic of the dash if it helps any.

Yup looks like the dummy light(s) for wheel bearings.

Your wheel bearings lasted 191,790 miles! Is that a record here?

I'd check wires and connecters for the sensors first. You might be lucky.

are you using a skinnier tire? when i had a blowout i used a donut on the front (i know i know it was an emergency) anyway when i turned around a corner the trac off light came on and the motor bogged. this was on dry pavement.

Yep. That's the problem the car has almost 192k miles and almost everything on it is original. When I say that I mean it. I think almost everything on the car has been there since the day it rolled off the line in Lansing. So if it does end up being that my wheel bearings are bad and not just the sensor like I'm hoping. How much am I looking at to replace it? Since I've never done this to a car before I have absolutely no clue how much it costs to fix it. Thanks for the help btw guys.

^ How much am I looking at to get it fixed. Obviously I need to get that fixed ASAP if that's the case cause driving 10 hours to Michigan on bad wheel bearings would not be a good idea.

drove my car all winter without abs. actually going almost a year and a half with the lights on now.
Abs helps, but i just took it nice and slow, except sometimes, the e-brake really helps to make her slide

if the lights are coming on as soon as the car is turned on, and youre not hearing any growl or noise from the front end, its most likely the sensor, or wires going to the sensor. if thats the case, i wouldnt worry too much about driving with it. mines been bad since before winter, and besides the weird sluggish thing with the engine theres been no problems.

I've been meaning to ask about that. I would assume that as long as the bearings are OK that it might be possible to keep driving it or maybe just fix the sensors (or sensor wiring).
I still have my original vintage 1999 bearings too, but I only have 26K miles on the car.

Hub Assemblies can be had new for less than $100. Check/clean the connectors for the sensors first, all 4 wheels....

ya, should be no issues driving if its just the sensor or wiring, youll just have to get used to the lights. and 26k miles?! ive only got like 7 times that on my car lol.
