need tips for car show

Ok A local radio station is puting on a there 3rd annual rock n roll car show & I entered my car & this will be my first car show I've been in & I'm looking for some tips from some avid car show people.

a common thing to do is put cotton around the front wheels. makes it look like tire smoke i suppose. another popular thing to do is wash your car. then put a bottle of everything you used around the front of the car. go buy some big trophy's and put those around you car too. people are drawn to the previous winners. lol

Take the time to clean EVERYTHING!

A list on mods done to the car. You can always print them out and put them in a picture frame (a plain frame)

A stuffed animal of some kind, sitting under the hood. Helps attract the kids, then dad looks at the car.

Answer as many questions as you can, esp if it's a judged show

Don't be a rooster to people! Especially since it's peoples choice. The stuffed animals works to draw the kids and a stripper to draw the Dads, Lord I apoligize for that last remark. Good Luck.

I can't say that I have seen this done at a car show, must be an Ohio thang.

clean everywhere. engine, triunk, door jams, top to bottom. inner fender liners, etc.

A list mods for your car.

A theme is helpful but yet must be tasteful. If you go with a theme with your car, like a character then don't do it half ass.

But the idea that putting mirrors by your wheels if that is the only chrome on your car is gay. the whole take fluff and stuff your engine bay and/or wheelwells is gay also it will tell everyone that you are hiding dirty or crap part of your car. if you engine compartment sucks don't pop the hood. if trunk sucks don't open it.

agreed......... best thing you can do is make sure you car is 100% clean. honestly one of the best things you can spend money on for your car is to have it professionally detailed. any dealership offers detailing services. usually runs about $125-$150 but that includes having the engine cleaned and everything.

A clean engine bay is a happy engine bay, and better to spot new leaks.
