Alright, my keychain lock button never worked, (i got the car used), and the lady said they just stopped working one day, and she got a new battery for it, and it still didn't work. And one day i was messing around with the lock button (bored before school) and i found out, if i hit the lock button on the car 4 times, close the door, and wait about 15 seconds, the horn honks once, and the lights flash once, like as if i were to of hit the alarm button or something, and i was just wondering, what exactly is this that happens when i hit this 4 times.

hope to hear something soon, thanks

eag182 is an unknown quantity at this point
Pressing the interior lock button (not on keychain) once and then shutting the door sets off a timer at which about 15 seconds later the doors will lock and lights will flash/ car will honk. This is normal. Pressing the lock button twice will lock the doors immediately. That is all so you can let others exit your car without locking the door on them.
