SEM Hot Rod Black
My car is sanded down and about to be primered and painted by the end of this week. Hopefully! Got a couple more things to do to it. Just trying to take my time so I don't do something ill regret. But I wanted to ask you guys what you would think an Alero would look like in hot rod black. I wanna "murder" my car. I read it was about 10-15% gloss. I was wondering if I could add a little bit more gloss to it before I spray. Or maybe if I ever decided I didn't like it, could I just add a clear coat over it? Think it'd look the same as just a standard black paintjob? Has anyone else had any experience with the SEM Hot Rod Black paint? Thanks for some feedback ahead of time.

It might look good, but it has a higher chance of looking like you just rattle canned some flat black since you're broke. :/

Well if it looks like either of the cars above then it wouldn't look like that. Especially not if it looks like the Cam.

I was thinking it wouldn't look too good either but I was just debating and trying to get opinions. I thought it might look good on a slammed Alero. Yea, painting it myself.

might look ok, but flat black should be backed up with gobs of power IMO, so on your car is would be silly...

That color is awesome. I actually wouldn't mind having it on my car, as long as I got rid of the chrome window trim.

Thanks for the input guys. I hope it looks good. I'll post pictures when it gets done if I have the chance. About to move to Colorado so it might not even be done soon. But hopefully. Anywho. I also wanna have the chrome trim done black. What would be the best way to do it? Paint or lay vinyl over it? I think people on here have done it both ways? Post pics please!
