Up on jack stands for a new project.
The time has come to replace a few parts. new front lower control arms with ploy bushings, new drivers side axle, new tie rod ends, new braided stainless brake lines and super blue 538 degree brake fluid, new poly swaybar bushings, and front poly motor mount, and those are my new back tires 255/40/17 falken azenis, i'll be putting my 245/40/17s on the front. also doing a new thermostat, waterpump and belt.

nice. I could use most of those parts. I need to replace my control arm bushings and passenger side half-shaft. I have also been considering the idea of SS brake lines.
good luck with the install! I am curious for feedback on the poly bushings and brake lines.

Why so big on the rubber?
You got some hidden horsepower that you're keeping secret?

You got it the wrong way. You want the wider tires on the front. Unless a RWD conversion is in your plans.

true for a straight line, but not essentially for cornering. and it would just look stupid.

Sorry, wider tires up front for cornering also on a FWD car. As far as how it looks, you'll barely even be able to tell.
The newer Grand Prix GXP's come with a FWD staggered setup from the factory, something like 255's up front with 225's in the rear.

That's nice. The wider tires should still go on the front if you're going to track or autocross the car.

changed my motor mount today, and after 115000 miles it is completely wornout. put a poly mount in its place.
