Ok today i pulled into my votech school, pull into a parking spot put the car in park etcs,

well when i go to turn my alero off the gets stuck between off and Acc, well i turn the car back on starts right up i put it in nuet then back into park thinking oh maybe something didnt get put into place, i go to turn the car off same thing.

So about 15 mins later i get my shifter cover off with a headphone jack i reach under the plastic my hand accidently hits something and then the key comes right out.

So basicly i dont know what I did and i was woundering if this has happend to anyone else just so i know what I am doing for future know how.

Most likely the shifter wasn't set into place into Park. Happened to me a couple times.

tnalero99 is an unknown quantity at this point
Helped my neighbor with this problem a while ago. The selonoid that engages when you place it in park might be getting stuck and not coming out all the way thinking it is still in a gear. I sprayed WD-40 on it and worked it back and forth till it no longer hesitated coming out. She hasn't had a problem since and that was 2 years ago.
