need different ones for disc...routed slightly differently based on position, and it affects the length of the lines.
basically, if you know your way around a car, it's an easy task...although...all day. but if it's your first brake job....eep!

i think the best/cheapest place to get the parts is a local junker. find an alero that has a destroyed front end and steal the back brakes/assembly...
but yes, it is quite an overhaul if your still a little green at car work. (i certainly wouldn't attempt it) and besides, all your really changing is appearance. drums work just as well.

discs in the rear do help take some of the brunt off the front.....and I did NOT intend for that to rhyme.

Would you not also need the master cylinder fom a 4 wheel disc brake car? Would the proportion of brake pressure going to the rear wheels be different on a rear disc, than on a read drum setup??

Nah, there's no different part number for it. There may be something different with the programming in the EBCM (if you have ABS) but I haven't checked that.

More accurately all 03-04 GXs and 4-cylinder GLs that are not fleet orders, as well as V6 GL models without ABS.
99-02 were all standard with 4 wheel disc/abs
