can i use a 3157 bulb instead of a 3057 bulb? cause thats what my tail light bulbs came stock with, and im tryin to find a match for some rotating red LED's but i cant find any. any suggestions? thanks h34r:

yeah.. use can use it.. 3157 is just dual filament.. meaning a low beam and high beam.. low one is use for parking lights while the high one lights up for braking. It'll be fine. Just the one of the filament won't be lit up since the stock is 3057. It'll still be the same brightness.

i'm not sure, but i think i had a problem with the 3157 blowing fuses.

You shouldn't.. not the inner tails at least. The outer tails I can see where you need to re-wire the leds pins

yea, i dont remember if it was the inners, actually i think i tried the outers... i dunno. they're just sitting in a box in my trunk now.

damn this doesnt sound like something i'd like to push. im gonna try to find red rotating led's (3057) im lookin for 4 if anyone has any suggestions just tell me. thanks

i have these bulbs in my outers.....3157 red led rotating/flashing, etc....still needed a little modifying because they would not stay in the socket.......look at any import stores....that is where i got mine...

Are these the bulbs you have in the tail lights? Inners and Outers?

nope, mind are high end japenese poop, it is real strong ass black plastic no that cheap see through plastic poop......and i can't tell from the pics but unless it has the little clip bump things on the sides of the base of the plug in part you are going to have to modify like i did otherwise like once a day you will have to take out your tail lights to push the bulb back in snug........

is there any bulb for a 3057 socket that yo ucan use other than the 3057 bulb itself to safely put in without modifying? :unsure:
