do you really need to charge an cap with a resistor or can that be skipped? iv lost my resistor.

I would just go to a best buy or abc warehouse or something. They've gotta have those things around somewhere. Or even better, a custom sound shop.

Do it the right way before you damage something. Don't listen to one person that says go ahead and do...I've never charged one up ever, because it will be the first time you try it that you fry something or start a fire. You can find resistors pretty easily from a electronics supply place.
