Brake Upgrade...
So after reading multiple threads, I have decided on the 12" rotor front and rear combo just in case I decide to go back to stock wheels... I just want to make sure I order the correct parts as I am relatively unsure about the multitude of parts offered on Rock Auto. Please help!

Since you're getting them remanufactured anyways, you could try Partsource for the Camaro fronts.. that's where I got mine from. I didn't really want to wait for them to get here. Unfortunately they charge you a core of $45 each caliper, but the guys at partsource told me that I could just return my stock Alero calipers for the core because they don't really check for the camaro calipers. All they care about is if there are calipers in the box when you return them.
Also you can use the caliper pins and the brake line bolt from the stock setup which I recommend(as long as their in good condition of course), because my brother and I spent 1-2 hours trying to figure out why one of the lines kept leaking no matter what we did, until we replaced the bolt that the remanufacter supplied with the OEM bolt.
Also you can order rotors designed for a Camaro. That's what I'm actually using right now. Doesn't have to be for an Impala

Thanks for the tips... I was really hoping to get this done over the winter, but at this price there is just no way... If this sway bar group buy goes through, that will be priority #1, then the brake upgrade...

It was about $500 US for the fronts only.

finding calipers at a scrap yard will drop the price quite a bit.

I thought about doing this too. Does the Master Cyl. Have enough volume?

The Alero master cylinder holds up fine with Camaro/Corvette brakes. It's not a concern.

I think I may have to check the scrap yards... Just hard to tell if anything will be in the right condition to use... I am not a mechanic by any means, so I could buy a piece and it be complete junk or pure gold and I would barely be able to tell :P lol

I hope you have better luck finding a junkyard with Camaro calipers available. I tried calling basically all the yards in my area with no luck. Luckily for myself when I went into Partsource they were on sale, but I don't recall how much I paid.. I think it came to $100 per side.

For $65 US you can get the Impala Rotors from Summit Racing. The Summit brand is slotted and x drilled
It's the core charge that gets you. Try Autopartsnerd. Advancedauto, even do Google shopping. I paid like $100 for each front, but no core charge.
Rear I paid a $10 core charge, but got them as a pair

I'm still debating on the slotted and cross drilled vs. solid rotors... I like the heat dissipation of the 1st, but like the surface contact of the 2nd given I have 20's on the car...
I think I will check a couple local yards and see what I can source there, then it will be to each link listed above...
Thanks for all the help and opinions, if anyone has anything else to add, please feel free!!

These guys will custom make them for you too if you want someting special. They will make what you want, in any finish, any cut, and any combo...lol My system is from a 96 Vette. 94-96 Vette rotors drilled 5x115 is not something easily found! I am having them make me a set around Christmas time

I did finally order those like 3 weeks ago. Patiently waiting for them to come in. Got a mechanic at work that goes state side every week and they are being shipped to his mailing address there. Cant wait! Hope to get them this week actually...

I wish the timing was better for my leaky caliper. I would love to do the twin piston upgrade on the front.

I know the big brakes look great, but I am still not convinced that they are any better than my origional set up with Power Slot and Hawk's. That combo was nothing short of amazing. I have stock Corvette parts on it now and it sucks compared to the other. Maybe the new stuff will perform at a much higher level. Once i have this on, Ill post my review of it.

I second what you say, my fisrt setup was baer decelarotor drilled, stock sized with hawk hp+ pads... they were really impressive,
but my corvette brakes don't suck... they are amazing... Z06 FTW

I have a set of GXP rear calipers that I'll let go for cheap.
Also (if I ever get around to it), my old Baer Racing Track+ front big brakes will be for sale.
