i have rough idling and after searching i guess i got to clean the IAC sensor. could somebody tell me where its located? a picture would be helpful?

it is located on the intake tube between the plastic box on the throttle body and the air cleaner box.

You probably have to clean the IAC valve on the throttlebody with some throttlebody spray as the valve carbons up after a while.

That's the IAT sensor. I don't think there is a IAC sensor, just a valve like freeze said.

Its the idle air control, if you follow the filter box through all the tubing there will be a square piece of metal prol 5in by 5in at the end of the plastic intake tubing, on the piece of metal is the IAC its the biggest sensor/motor there and its only screwed in using 2 screws. throttle body cleaner is what youll need to clean it

He has a 2.4 motor...the IAC is on the throttlebody. Facing the car looking at the TB,it is on the left side of TB. Just look inside the TB & on the left side of TB (front) You will see a hole on the inside of the bore of the TB. That is where you spray the cleaner.You cant miss it!
