Well i just bought a 99 alero about a week ago and i was searching online and found this forum. As of right now i have dropped it with intrax springs and new struts. My hood is starting to rust so i've been searching around for an aftermarket hood which seems hard to find. The only hood i found other than oem is the fiberglass cowl hood which is 550 bucks. If anyone can give me some links to find an aftermarket hood i'd appreciate it. Oh and i'd also like to find a single outlet catback exhaust but the only ones i found were the slp and the borla.

Thanks,
Shawn

for the exhaust, just go to a local muffler/exhaust shop and tell them what you want. you should be able to get everything (muffler, pipes and install) for around $250.

Well i'm thinking about buying the slp catback system. I was wondering what type of headers are the the best at a decent price. I think i saw a few posts of ppl talking about TOG headers? The only headers i've seen are the RSM headers and the S&S headers. But they seem a little pricey at 700 bucks. I guess i forgot to say my car has the 3400 in it.

TOG is out of business, so unless you find them on ebay or someone on here is selling them you wont get TOG headers, the ones that rsm has are TOGs and 700 to 800 is about what you will pay, i got lucky and got my TOGs for 475 from ebay. S&S is the only company making headers for the 3400 as of right now.

Thanks for welcoming me with open arms. I'm usually on teamzx2.com because i mod my 02 zx2 but i wanted to find a good forum for my daily driver alero. This site seems really helpful. I'm also a mopar tech so i'm used to working on mostly chrylser products. So you guys say that i should go with s&s headers with slp catback exhaust. Whats a good cold air intake to go with.

Welcome aboard! So you're a MOPAR tech, huh? Might be asking you a few questions now and again on my '93 Daytona.
