hey I called them rockers for short...so I know what you're saying.
but "side skirt" is a european term, like "bonnet" is for hood. So it's not technically wrong, but we are (for the most part) in America, so they are Rocker Panel Moldings.
And it's pointless to waste effort on doing something yourself that can easily make you waste your money by doing it wrong. Just leave it to a professional. And if the pro effs up your parts, the pro should be the one to replace them at his expense. (of course, read the fine print if there's contracts/waivers involved)

Calling them side skirts is like calling your wheels "rims".

GM created them? i'm 100% sure GM did not create the kombat kit side skirts or "rocker panel moldings" lol. We are talking about the kit's sides, not the stock.

1st.. the kombat kit's correct term is 'side skirts'. Proof? http://www.andysautosport.com
So do not correct someone for using the term the manufacturer calls it. maybe gm calls theirs rocker panel moldings, but andys calls theres side skirts. Now just stfu on the topic, this thread is about fitment, not about the color of bar or what the eff it is called. anyways, yes it may fit one way or another. I personally would try it myself. If you do not like the way it is lining up, take it to the professionals. But if u can get it the way u like it by yourself, it should save u quite a bit of money. But anyways, man up and try it yourself first! Plus it gives you something to do, and is a fun project..

Alright, this is the gayest fight, you can call them both rocker panels and side skirts!!! its not going to kill anyone is it??? lmao, if you want to call them sideskirts go ahead, if you wanna call them rocker panels, thats fine.
They are both the same thing!!!

it's always nice to complete something on your car, and know that you did it yourself. it doesn't have to look perfect the first time. but it's always a good experience. and don't let grouchy people steer you away.

yea i say try doing it yourself, if you run into problems getting it to fit, then i would say throw your stock bumper back on and take it to a shop. but try it out yourself, its a good learning experience! and when if you get it on, then you will feel good cause you did it yourself!
so give it a shot, if you run into problems take it to a shop

it isn't a quick process, and figuring out how to mount the side skirts may take some ingenuity. you're looking at around 4-6 hours to fit properly on your own with a buddy.

Why does this come up every single time someone mentions a body kit? Can't we all just agree to dislike the French?
