First of all, quit with this "tank" shit. No one runs their car until the tank is completely empty. You rate your fuel economy in MILES PER GALLON or kilometers per liter for you weird Canadian guys. That's the only way you're going to get a real reading on fuel consumption.
You're getting about 17.4 MPG. I get 27-30 city on average.

k because when i fill up and i have the trip meter reading 215miles and i fill up my tank with 13gallons of gas and we only have a 14 gallon tank so thats what i mean when i say "tank." for me 215mi / 13gal =~17 MPG

Actually over here we use the measurement : Liters per 100 kms lolol
I calculated that I do around 8 Liters per 100 km. Which is not bad. A Hybrid civic is suppose to do around 4 L / 100 km.

The big question is how low does it get before you fill it?
I usually put in 10 gallons, at times as much as 12. Only once I put in 13.8

check your air filters, maybe run some engine cleaner through your car, oil change?, check your tires PSI...
i forgot to add before. when i got 434km... (or ~270 as my gauge read) i got like 27mpg, and had been doing alot of highway driving around 65mph. For me, i consider that pretty good gas mileage, with the V6

I did run my tank until it was empty! Dry as a bone ! I am one of those weird Canadian guys as well
"filled the tank up until it would not hold one more drop then drained it dry" I was shocked !

you know by "topping off" when you fill up your gas tank you ruin the pressure in the tank and it can ruin your MPG right?

miles dont say much, i put on usually 3000-4000 a month. gas takes up the vast majority of my paycheck. if i calculate how much i spend on it per mpg i will get pissed and hate my alero for being a gas sucker. ignorance can be bliss xD
