So i basically love my bass..if it aint loud, i dont like it... my friend was tellin me about these Lanzar subs... 12'' HRWDC12 .. im thinking about getting 2 of them with a 4000w MXA282 amp...he said that they are really nice..id be getting a separate battery for these and then i was gonna try to build a custom deal to make everything look good...any ideas or thoughts?? if you know of any other subs that are really loud, and mildly affordable please list! NOT Kicker..dont like them...they hit hard but have absolutely no flow, friend had a 15'' l7 in his jeep and it sounded like ass..
i used to have 2 12'' sony xplods in a bandpass box,..ebay special..well they sucked to tell ya the truth..lol

TXX-SPL12
if your lookin at 12's this may be closer to the lanzar subs than the other

just like with anything else...you pay for what you get...im running a set of Kicker CompVRs that are probably 5 years old and pound like they are brand new...but thats because Kicker makes a good quality sub that is very reliable

Sooo many better options - RE, eD, Treo, IA, MD, AA, Mpyre, DD (<- if you're an SPL nut, look no further), ID, OZ, etc.
Look beyond the Tweeter/Circuit City/Best Buy, CarToys crap and you'll find a world of fine products.

DD: Digital Designs, http://www.ddaudio.com (9500 series = o.m.g.)

I just put 2 MTX 7500 Dual 4ohm 12" ers in my trunk... they sound damn nice too and kick pretty hard. Heh, I couldn't imagine how there top of the line subs perform... So I'd probaly say try those MTX on for size, not the stuff u would find at ur local walmart either, like rapture said (:

The Lanzar Opti-Drive amps are good amps.
You'd get the Maxximus because it matches the power rating at the impedence of your woofers... wait, you haven't chosen woofers yet. Research this stuff :P ... and the Maxximus goes for about $4k, not $1k.
The 20.1 can be run at .25 daily (try that with a Maxximus) - 4 strapped 20.1s > Maxximus.
I just replaced all my amps with Soundstream and I couldn't be happier - excellent products.
There are really too many good manufacturers to list.

Which of the non-low-end poop is worth a damn? I've heard the flame Q, Immortal, Alum and Eternal - sure they got loud, but a bunch of Pyles in a wall can do that. The Alums (4 12s in a Suburban), which I read are supposed to sound good, didn't even come close to an entry level SQL woofer.

what i meant there was spending so much, im only gonna spend maybe 250 on a amp not 1-5000
and yeah i agree audiobahn isnt that great..they have a couple nice subs but nothing i like, i used to have 1 12'' and i had it for maybe 2 weeks before i sold it off for 80 bucks with a p.o.s 500w RF amp

im not and never was into SQ. i was strictly SPL. and if the people had half a brain and made their own box with their own specs it woulda been loud. and thas all i care(d) about.
i had 4 of the flame q 08s(the higher flame q's) and was extremely loud. and for the price i paid on em, i couldnt beat it.
i actually got them below book price, below the price u paid for em i think. and their older poop was even better. the old 1*08X's....mmmm, those were badass subs.
