So how do you deep stage...?

Because I think I was doing it by accident last night at the track in my first run, and I ran the best during my first run. . .
Oh, shout out to Vic28, good to see you there last night too!!!

pretty sure deep stage means inching forward after the pre-stage and stage lights are lit, but not so far that the stage light goes off.

When you pull up to the tree, you have 2 sets of small yellow lights at the top - the first set is the pre-stage, and then the second set is the staging lights. The tree will only start to go down after both cars (or one car if your running solo) trip the staging lights.
Deep staging refers to creeping forward until the pre-stage lights turn off, but the staging lights are still lit. This usually results in quicker (and for me), more consistent reaction times.

Thats what I did then. . .I was beyond stall-torque because I was on the brakes and at 2500 RPM, but my car can't hold itself back at that high of a launch RPM.
I have to learn to launch correctly, but I liked my ET when I was rolling better than when I wasn't rolling.

The best time the car ran was 16.28 at the end. Imma take the 17s off next time.

Niiiiice!!!
And yea, taking the 17's off should help, I should take the 18's off next time, it would probably help with spinning a little bit off the line. . .

Please note that Deep Staging only helps your Reaction Time, not your ET. Your ET will actually be a little slower when you deep stage because technically you are not getting as much of a head start before your car breaks the starting beam.

If you had a better ET when you went Deep vs. Shallow-staging, that was just a coincidence attributable to other factors (launch RPM, traction, engine & trans temps, ambient air quality & temp, etc.).
