if your looking for any reliable power over say 400hp id say to upgrade to the 2.0L ecotec....the bore/stroke ratio is 86/86 making for a more stable and reliable engine.....within the next 6 months ill guarantee a few ions start hitting the junkyards as well as the Cobalt SS and the engine w/ the supercharger on it will be goin for around a grand to $1500, which is 205hp and the aftermarket will be a lot cheaper in the long run, as well as the amount of parts available and probably a mainline tune that doesnt have to be special ordered and cost more like custom tunes for the current aleros running boost.
