Best stock replacement???

Hey guys my front door speaker is blown out and was just looking for a good stock replacement. Im not looking to change the head unit or anything right now cause I have alot of other needs to fill on my baby. Looking to spend around $100. The infinitti kappas look nice but I don't know if it would be a waste on the stock stereo. Any opinions?

infinity has some decent 4x6s that fit well.

if you want to take a step up, you can get an adapter and fit some 5.25" components in there... but they require a bit more work.

Thanks but would components still work without upgrading the head unit and an amp?

Thanks Cherry. The reference are alot cheaper. Do you think they would pretty much be the same as the kappas on a stock system?

probably. Kappas would be 1000x better with a good HU and a great amp....

...but until that point... don't waste the money

yea, they're reference. i have 6x9 kappas for my rear deck that are powered by their own amp and they sound fantastic. if i were you just invest in kappas all around then when you get around to it, install a good HU and power em up!

I don't know what specific type my infinitis are but I do enjoy the sound quality of them. For $100 you should easily find a good pair to throw in. However, they will be wasted with the stock radio. But all things in good time right my man?

As for a four channel amp to power the speakers, I ran the Hifonics HFi-200.4. Does 100wrmsX4 for $150.00 on eBay. Obviously not the best amplifier in the world, but worked great on my Rockford Fosgate Power series components up front and Power series 6X9"s in the rear deck.

I'm in the process of switching everything up and stepping power up considerably, but for pushing my Fosgates Powers that are rated 150wrms, it worked nicely.

Ok just put the Kappa's in the front and the rear and with the stock HU and no amp they sound SICK. While I was at it I also got the dual post side mirrors in, for $46 shipped on ebay they look awesome. I need to replace both fenders but after that im definitely going to upgrade the HU. Ive now been bit by the audio bug.
