Do you mean the ratcheting thing isn't holding the handle up??

Or that the brake won't stop the back wheels??

its not engaging the actual parking brake itself, so the handle isnt staying up and idk if its stopping the wheels

Well you have a different issue... the handle should stay up regardless. It has its own rachet mechanism. I think you gonna have to take the center console off and see whats happening, and dont be afraid on putting the car on D and let your brake off while you pull the handle to see if its actually holding the car..

Yup.. yank off the console and see whats up.. might be something obvious, and in the end probably it'll just need a new parking brake lever assembly.

Mine does this too. Mine has rear drums, and I just had the brake shoes adjusted. It then worked just fine... Until my sister used my car with the hand brake on two weeks after the said adjustment Now it doesn't work again. I am sure all it needs is an adjustment though.

i'm thinking i knocked something loose when i was messing with my radio because the button on the handle is all the way out to the point where i can see a little bit of the skinny plastic piece it's attached to.
