It looks like one of these hood scoops ( eBay Celica-style) molded in and with those two strips coming from each side of it going toward the front of the car.
It would be really cool if someone on here (Robbie, maybe) would make these for our cars, like they do for the cowl.

robbie no longer owns an alero. and is no longer a member of this site(that im aware of). he owned "aftermath" which can be found on cardomain(red alero with black flames)

Makes me wonder how far I can weld into the hood before I hit engine... Looks ok, but asks more so much more (not that snail that v8ish has on it)

ok why not just take the hood off.........and why not make this scoop out of metal same thing with the fenders, that is if your good at shaping metal

it is an ss hood molded onto the stock alero hood, i used to like it but it is way to played out now plus Oldsman made me see the error of my ways.....lol

I had the same thing on my Achieva before it was totaled. I enjoyed it but couldn't evade family/friends/coworkers (jokingly) picking on my me for that it wasn't functional.

i actually like the hood off of your achieva. where did you get the ss style scoop? is it the same as from andy's auto sports? i may end up molding one on to my alero.
