Borla universal muffler
Has any body tried any of these. They look pretty good, only like $100.
http://aweforex.co.cc/browse.php?u=O...weA%3D%3D&b=13
also I dont plan on repacing the stock head or cat or resonator, so I'm going to just put in place of the stock piece of crap.

ive had magnaflow and flowmaster but never borla, but you have the 2.4 so anything you put on it will most likely sound ricey.

I don't know about the Borla Universal mufflers.......but I have a Borla Pro-XS single-in, dual-out muffler. when I had it on a stock exhaust system, it was indeed ricey. However, I have since put a Pacesetter header and a Magnaflow stright-through muffler (to replace the resonator) and it sounds pretty nice now. purrs like a big kitty.

Well if your going to buy from Summit, buy one of their house brand mufflers.
Worked well on my Delta but didn't give me the sound I was looking for. I paid $20 for it

Any one else?
I found this while searching,
http://www.aleromod.com/forums/showp...2&postcount=13
I really like the sound. Not too loud, not ricey, not too quiet. I'm going to look in to getting the Dynomax Super turbo

Are you just putting a dynomax on your stock exhaust? If so it'll sound pretty good. I have header > 2.5" piping > glasspack > dynomax and it is loud.

I'm thinking about a Dynomax on the stock system, or one of those Borla mufllers.
Anybody know the stock size tubing?

I think it's like 2" so it's pretty restrictive.

Found this,
http://www.jegs.com/i/Dynomax/289/17712/10002/-1
Anybody know anything about Thrush's mufflers? Looks identical to the Dynomax Super Turbo's but a little shorter, so it might be easier to fit. Good idea? It's only $27.
Been doing a little bit of research and they seem to be the same as the Dynomax Super Turbo's but only available in 2" inlet and 2" outlet. Might give it a shot.
Anybody got an estimate of what an exhaust shop would charge to weld it in place of the stock one and put a tip on it?

After doing more research and listening to sound clips of various exhaust setups I think I am going to go with a Dynomax Superturbo 2.5 inlet and dual 2.5 outlet.
Also, has anybody removed the resonator with the stock muffler on. I plan on removing it after i get the Dynomax. But I though until i get paid i would go ahead and have a muffler shop remove the stock resonator and replace it with a piece of stainless steel piping. Thoughts?

just do it when you have the muffler put on. they will probly end up charging more for 2 seperate small jobs than one bigger job. and also if youre just putting the muffler on the stock exhaust (which is 2"), going up to 2.5" isnt going to do anything more than 2.25". itll just be harder for them to weld it, and theyll probly have to use a coupler of some sort, which will cost you more. thats just my opinion. let us know what you end up doing.
