for track purposes only, you can get a new computer chip for it.
pfyc sells them i believe. do a search on the site for PCM or DHP, and you should find about a hundred threads about this...

cherrington im pretty sure that since this is in the 2.4 section that he has that motor, the dhp that he referred to will not work with your car it is only for the 3400. im pretty sure that one just came out but it super expensive, im not sure of the name or where to get it, do a search and it will turn up for you.

why do you need to go faster than 105mph? you're going to kill someone or yourself.
our cars cant get there in the 1/4 either so its pointless.

what about the salt flats? or the unmarked roads in Arizona? as long as you beef up your car to handle the speed, it shouldn't be a problem. i understand what you're saying though derek.

^ already been discussed, probably not a C6 for real....but Spy's time was impressive, and he said he could have done better had he not had the governator lol
(say it like Ah-nold...haha)
But if you honestly don't go to the track, leave the limiters in there until you have the suspension, brakes, and driving skill to handle that speed. Don't need the paramedics to bring spatulas to the crash site.

wow first time i;ve agreed with you on somthing ...let me tell you how to go over 105...if you press the pedal a little farther you will hit 107 ....if you feeling the need to go faster then that on public roads...then aim the car twords the nearest cliff, i swear the 107 will be fast enough for you then

um... if you know something negative could result, its our moral obligation to mention it, since it might save him some time or money.
as well as the negative, might be something the asking person, has never thought about.

What I don't understand about all this oh it's too fast, it's too fast...BLAH BLAH BLAH. If it's too fast for you, stay at the speed limit. I am sure this will get deleted, but I have been up to 140. It all depends on your abilities (as well as the cars). So it's too fast?? I can go get in an Eclipse and run up to 150 MPH....WTF!?!?!? Stock governer for our cars is at 107, sure it is a safety thing for those who can's handle it...BUT the fact is that many people can handle speeds well beyond that, if you can't who cares, don't do it. But quit telling those who want to that they shouldn't, can't handle it, their car can't handle it whatever. Have you ever had your Alero to 140(not that I have)??? No, then don't say it cant handle it. It's like saying there's no such thing as a million dollars...

I am glad to see that some people are finally standing up to the people on this site who always female dog about driving fast. I belong to 3 different 350z forums and i would bet that atleast 1/3 of the posts are about different street races and highway runs and everyone loves reading about them.
Do you think that by telling him it's a bad idea that it's going to stop him. Probably not. By allowing it to be talked about is it going to enocurage someone else to want to drive that fast, maybe, but probably not. People will drive that fast if they want to matter what and those that dont want to wont, doesn't mean they have to ruin it for everyone else.
Instead of telling him why not to drive that fast what you should be doing is telling him what he needs to do to prepare his car for those speeds, cause he will most likely go that fast no matter what you say. wow this is long but this had been building for awhile, this site is a little rediculous on it's "speed/racing" policies or whatever you wanna call them.
