2.2 vs 2.4 vs 3.4

well here is what i have herd...subtract 10 horse power for every 100 pounds...now i dont know the wieght of either car off the top of my head...but someone can find it real quick im sure
...and no offense to anyone...but the 3.4's are just so damn unreliable

Yeah, those 2.2 and 2.4 engines are hugely reliable. Please lets not go there with the 4t40 transmissions they mate up to them. Um...now back to reality...........

Where you hear that from? 2.2 ecotec has serious potential, 2.4 TC can make good power. 3400 well abuse the search and see the respond from BJ.

BTW its 3400 not 3.4, those are in the lumina sedan.

Igot a coupé 2.2 ecotec 5 speed trany in mine and the first time ive hit the gaz pedal at full throttle ive been surprised by the power it gives mine weights around 3000 lbs!!I would try a 3400 just for fun!!

many people with half or fewer miles than that has had "their time come" with that transmission.

im up to 127 thousand miles with the original tranny.. only hell its given me is a slight slip at wot.. which is going to turn into a snap and crunch now that i say something about it.
