I was just wondering what was the general consensus on good brakes pads to use with the r1 rotors....links or web addresses to retailers would be great. Thx guys

As far as I've read, the regular semi-metallics will work the best as far as performance and wear on the R1 rotors. Ceramics/organics will work like crap and/or destroy the rotors.

haha i think this is what happened to me. had R1 rotors and just lost the fronts with only 27,000 miles on them. I think the rears are going to need to be replaced soon.

I dont have R1 rotors but i have SR performance rotors from ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Brake...3286.m14.l1318 probably not much different than R1, i have run 2 sets of kevlar pads on these rotors and the rotors show less than average wear. after being on the car for over 3 yrs,
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Apex-...3286.m20.l1116 .
actually let me rephrase my statement, the first set of pads i ran were carbon metallic, they lasted aprox 10 months, then i got these kevlars.

When you order the R1, you have the option to add some pads with the kit for a little supplement (when ordering on their site). Ive ordered semi-metallic kevlar pads with my set and they work great! No sound, no brake dust, I love it.
