We aren't sure if it's rings or head gasket....all I know is I have next to no compression on #6, the #5 and #6 plugs are completely carbon'd up, and I'm dripping a small amount of (I think) coolant from towars the driver's side, but I can't tell from exactly where.
I'd much rather if it were just the head gaskets, since pulling the motor is such a bitch. Of course if we do pull the motor, then I can try to make that Teflon crank scraper work.
Can you elaborate on the oil-in-the-spark-plug-hole thing? I've never heard of that approach before.....

If you add oil to the cylinder before the compression test, if there is a ring problem, usually the oil will temporarily seal that up and your PSI will go up.

Milling is a waste of time unless you need to clean up the surface and make it flat again. Even .020" off won't make a big difference in compression (.1 at best).
Cliff is right, if you squirt some oil in there, it will seal the rings better. If compression doesn't go up, its not the rings.

its not performance related for one. Check your coolant level and for air in the system.

mpracing couldn't tune a bicycle. Agreed, lucky to get a damn thing from them.
I don't know what a gxp runs.

Milling is only going to really help you if you have major work done to the car, otherwise, it's not really money well spent. Now a 3 angle valve job, that's worth the $$$

Yeah it took forever to get my pcm from him though, like over 3 weeks! I had to bug the hell out of him every other day when 2 weeks cause he was ignoring the hell out of me! I really thought i was screwed out of $150.00.. But. I finally got it.. My car is basically gutless from a stop untill i get to at least 4,000 rpm's then it pulls pretty good till around 6,000rpm's then when i shift into 3rd gear its basically balls slow again till around 100mph.
