Center bore on rims
Hey I just bought the set of rims and tires of Sburke, and for some reason the center bore on the rim is smaller then the one on my hub. I don't get why? I just checked the website he got them from, http://www.wheelsnext.com/wheels-rim...yperblack.html, and it says it fits the alero.
I went to every tire place around here and they all said they will not bore it.
HUH??

Did they give a reason why they wouldnt bor it? that seems kinda odd to me, maybe it has to do with the strength of the rim? IDK.

they probably just don't have the proper machine to do it. I know in denver there are only like two places that will do it.......

Any reason why they arn't fitting in the first place? I mean it says right on the site it fits the alero.

That's crazy. The center bore needs to be 70.3mm (just a touch over 2.75").

are you sure it's not rust on your wheel hubs? have you tryed getting them to go on by torqueing the wheel lugs?

Yup, but there is no way that the center hub will go inside the rim, its almost the same exact size, the center of the rim needs to be a little bigger.

the easiest method (especially since those have like a 45mm offset) would be just to get a spacer.
Just get an accurate measurement of the center bore. It may even be stamped on the inside of the wheel somewhere. Or just give them a call...

Yeah, definitely too small, but for spacers you'd want the exact size to the tenth of a millimeter. Is there any numbering or anything on the inside of the wheel?

Well, you could measure the outside with a caliper for the size. Most likely those were for whatever car the wheels were originally bought for.

Well, then somebody messed up somewhere... They may have thought it had the smaller bore size like the Achieva had (57.1mm)

Yeah this doesn't make sense, on the recipet it says it sent Centering rings that are 73.1OD 70.3ID WN
