Meh, it's not really that hard.

Get those 3M wire splices and hook the two wires into the correct wires in the hardness.

On second thought, yeah me too

Alero Racing Kiddo, get the 3M wire splices. The correct ones are baby blue, red ones are the correct size, but are a little hard to work with. I wouldn't trust any other brand of splices.

Valley olds is an unknown quantity at this point
Ask darkobsession. He put a shift kit on his eco alero not too long ago. Maybe he could tell you how he did it. Here is a link to his thread of the install.

dont use splices. solder it, i installed it with the splicers it came with and i didnt work. they are crap and if you are not careful i could see the splicers split a wire completely. just cut the wires and tie in the b&m wires.

e tape unsticks eventually that why soldering and shrink wrap are the best especially sense its out in the engine bay

you don't have to do the connection under the hood...you could make the connection in the driver compartment. that bundle of cables comes through the firewall and goes across behind the bottom edge of the dash, under the steering column.

caboose the e tape is wrapped around the connections and then all wrapped together again then zip tied on the ends... not goin anywhere. Albino, yes that is very possible but a pain in the butt to find the right ones in the bundle of 100+ wires

the plug is not easily accessible for the ecotec, it wasn't anywhere near the pics showed it to be in the 2.4. under the dash is much better. don't use taps, they suck.

there are two blue w/white stripes and two red with black stripes.

you want the set in which the wires are really close together. the blue should be light blue and the red should be orangy-red. again, these wires should be next to each other. the other two are not.

after you splice into them, put the unit on 2 and switch from park to drive. you will know if it's hooked up right or not, your car will 'thunk.' it'll shift kind of like a stick when you drive.

I ended up having to solder them, works good now. But is it just my kit but for some reason if I put it in 2, I can not change it back to OFF unless I shut off my car and turn the car back on.

Th0r will become famous soon enough
I just installed mine. Got it from Jegs for just under $40 shipped. The incuded blue splicers didn't cut trough the wires so I grabbed some of the red ones and they worked great.

Both modes kill the traction control, no big deal since I alwys turn it off when I'm screwin around. Mode 1 is pretty firm but nothing crazy. Mode 2 will chirp the tires into 2nd, and if I'm spraying it just straight up breaks loose going into 2nd.
