Take lots of pictures while you're tearing it down. That way you have something to reference when you are putting it back together. If you have a question, you can upload the picture and ask us!

I wish I had an extra engine to tear down and build up.. during engine's class in college I didn't have my own engine to rebuild.. I only had a school cadaver engine to take apart and put back together.. I was jealous of the kids pulling their engines to beef up... have fun!

just label stuff, take pictures, and tear into it!!!

if it's a complete, usually you take the accessories, wiring harness, exhaust manifolds, stuff like that off first, and then the UIM, LIM, and heads, pretty easy stuff, just take your time if it's your first motor and label stuff, you will be fun, taking motors apart and putting them back together is so much fun!!!

I welcome the opportunity myself, working on engines is a very good skill to have. My dad could do that stuf and was never trained on how to do it. I just enough to figure what may be wrong mechanically, and electrically its pretty easy, but tearing it down and putting it back together again is something I have to do! All and all good luck either way you go.

haha here is what i have a feeling my labels will look like:

"wires from the little hole on the back"

"pulley that went around the alternator"

"big thing that came off after the LIM"

i don't even know if those are accurate, but i can totally see those being my labels ya'll will see me on here every 5 mintues with a picture saying "what's this called?" haha. be ready.
