hi guys, i recently bought a Memphis ST-1000D amp used for ~200 bucks and mated it to a Treo 10" SSI dual 2 ohm sub. I wired the sub down to 1 ohm, ( made sure many times it was correct), set the gain on the amp all good, and my box is 1.7 cu ft sealed (i know a lil big...) anyways, it sounds AMAZING but it just doesnt get very loud. It seems like its runnin at ~200 watts. i checked the power/ground, both are fine, and i get a 14v while running. 1 ohm on this amp should be a TON louder. It's rated at 1100 RMS.. my question is how do you find how many watts an amp puts out, or better yet how can i check if my amp is good or not. A friend said that the capacitors inside the amp may be shot. does anybody have any other guesses?

also, i had this amp on a 12" kenwood w3009 sub @ 4 ohms, and the same thing...played amazing but lacked power

thanks in advanced,

kevin
