OBX GA 3.4L Headers on eBay

I found this on another site and couldnt believe it. For $350 and they are the exact design of the S&S headers its not a bad deal. The only thing is that I know OBX uses very thin material and god only knows how long they will last for. But hey it's still a good deal.

good find!

anyone know if S&S headers will clear most transmission swaps?

It says the primary tubes are 16 gauge.

As the S&S headers likely do not fit with the F40, neither will these.
And their description is wrong - it says 3 O2 bungs (no EGR); the large threaded fitting on the crossover tube is for your EGR pipe; the upstream O2 is right next to it and the downstream O2 is sandwiched between the cat and the 3-bolt flange.

OBX is the brand that also makes a crappy LSD for the F23 transmission. They're a Chinese brand by the way.. If I were you guys I'd stay away from them at all costs.

Since having kids I need to be a little more frugal...lol Id make them work. If I had to polish them once a moth to make them last Id do it. Since they are stainless they would last for quite some time I bet. I would not run these on a nitrous build, but NA I would. They do look exactly like mine too, but mine I bought raw. Then just sprayed em with high temp black before I put them on. S&S I got were not stainless either and were $700.00 Candian by the time they were at my door!!

Some fitment issues...
Mine are still leaking from somewhere (no clue where..)
The CAT isn't really a cat, practically a straight pipe..

I like how they look. If you end up in a muffler shop get a high flow cat on it now at the same time. Will save you a few buckes in the end I say bud

Bump, I'm considering these. Mike did you end up fixing them or figuring out the problem?

Well I've put about 13k on these reliably.

I think these can be run safely & reliably... My only recommendations are to get some better gaskets (snip stock ones with tin snipers?) and if you have the same fitment issue as I did with it touching the head, make a dent so it clears and put some sort of heat resistant material on the head in that area (not on the headers, they'll probably get brittle).

I may swap them out, but the only reason I'd do that is because of the fact that I want something ceramic coated... they do get HOT; however not to the point of melting things.

Really for the money they're pretty good.
I may be doing some ceramic coated S&S in the near future (or take these off, put the ding in and re-use... still undecided).

You'll see em at ASS for sure though.

Personally I'd only take something where the head is to avoid heating it up too much. Header paint should be good for the rest...
I've always wanted to try the POR15 Header paint..

I'll let you know if I'm getting rid of these. I'd be able to give you everything minus a downpipe.

Does it matter if the cat is smaller?

Your stock one?
The OBX one is a resonator..
I don't suppose it matters if yo uhave a smaller CAT, you do lose some of the flow though.

Scott cut the ends of my stock CAT out to 2.5 and I had it welded in place of the resonator on the new downpipe.
