Passenger rear door wont open

My passenger rear door wont open from the outside, only the inside. Looks like there was a clip type of deal that connected to the handle to open the door, but no idea where it went. Do I just take the door panel off to get to it and reconnect it? Or if it is broken, what is the part called? Guess I would really have to get into it to figure that one out. I think I need to hit up home depot and get some lifetime warranty tools, about 90% of my wrenches are broken from working on snowmobiles and other shit.

Could be the child security lock? Might be something broken with that or try flipping the switch for it on the inside metal of the door

The child lock would keep you from opening it from the inside, not the other way around.

Back when I had the HO my drivers side door handle actually disconnected from the rod inside the door. Just pull apart your door panel and see if it broken or if its just disconnected like mine was, shouldn't be too big of a deal
