Finally Fixed It

I feel like a real idiot. I finally figured out what was causing my car to act stupid. I got a scantool and found that the check engine light was illuminated because of a "rich condition" code. After looking over a few things i noticed that the arrow on the MAF was pointing away from the engine. After kicking my own butt for a few minutes i took it off and turned it around. Now the car runs great. Im happy the hesitating and surging is gone. It was driving me crazy. Hopefully i can go to the track again soon and post some decent times. When it was messed up it ran a 17.2 @ 82mph. Thanks to those guys that gave me advice on what they thought was wrong. I dont remember who told me to clean the MAF but i did that too. Along with that i replaced the pre-catalyst O2 sensor. Ill keep everyone posted on times and mods that are coming up.

Im glad it was an easy fix. I was dreading something alot worse and with the kind of luck I have...I actually expected much worse. The wiring to the MAF is still tight, but the car seems to be running good, so for the time im not going to worry about it. Im glad to see im not the only one who has made that mistake, but i still feel like a real idiot!
