i'm currently switching over from manual everything to power everything, and i have a few questions...

1. is there anywhere that i could find a diagram for the wiring of the power windows/mirrors?
2. what all would i need? i have an idea for the windows (new door panel, window motor/regulator, trim/control). as for the mirrors, i haven't even began checking that out
3. how the hell do i get the manual mirrors out of there? that little joystick thing seems to be permanent. i can get the trim around it off, but i can't get the control seperated from the lines

thank you very much in advance

Best place to get a diagram is to wander on down to the nearest GM dealership and talk to one of the service guys, quite often they're pretty nice guys and will let you look at or even copy schematics. Another options is to buy a Chilton's Manual for the Alero, or go to the local library and see if they have one.

As for parts, my suggestion is if you're not very good with wiring to find an Alero with power windows at the local wrecker and steal the entire door, or atleast all the guts including all the wiring in tact.

I hear yah. If there's anything you're having problems with, I can help you out. I have a diploma in electronics. Let me know how it goes and try and take pictures as you go along.
