Parts off other cars
Ok so this thread is all about all the different appearance parts that you can get from other cars.
Ex. GA mirrors on the Alero.
So if you guys know of any other parts that work on the alero from any other car post it up here. And if you have done it you should post pictures.

Grand Prix wheels fit too. The best looking OEM rims IMO

I know that the Bonneville GXP Rims have the 5x115 bolt patter, but they are a factory 18. I'm wondering from those of you who have after market rims if there is anything I may run into as far as problems with these. They're also 8 inches wide, I did take into consideration the possibility of rubbing being as how a factory alero rim is about 6.5 inches wide.

yeah i also think that the LED third break light from the newer monte carlos will fit into our housings.
and I think that the Grand Am rims look pretty nice, coming from the factory that is.

I'm running 18x8s on my Malibu (cheap Alero) with no problems. Trick is to get the CORRECT tire cause there's not much extra space near the spring perch on the strut.
Plus - Lots of room for oversized brakes, 13" rotor fits well.

well yea im serious,
such as the offset I didnt even know what it was thatll help in the future.
I would like bigger brakes, calipers, and rotors for my 19's would be a smart idea, I cant decide on which would be best. I know aleromod has the corvette or gto big brake kit, but I need specifics to go with it, such as all the part numbers, names, price, and installation.
that's why so serious

Yeah, I kind of figured that tire size would come into play with that, thanks for the info though. Btw, I'm not sure if this really belongs here or not, but has anyone tried to do anything with an LED 3rd brake light? (Besides putting one in from an Impala) I'm asking because I'm working on a circuit to build one that would scroll from Right to Left when making a left turn, and from Left to Right when making a right turn, and then scrolling from the center out to the edges when just braking. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Would this interest anyone?

Sounds like the cool sequential lights some cars had in the 60s & 70s, cougars I think??? Fun idea. Something similar 'could' be done for the tails also.
Malibus had the third brakelight built into the rear dash. I removed mine (dash) to fab custom speaker mounts so I got the upscale (for me) wing with LED built-in from the deluxe model and mounted it - works great!
