I want more bass for my car, so I am thinking about getting some sub woofers. What brand of sub woofers are good, and which ones should I avoid? What kind of amplifier should I get? I think I want people to here me coming from blocks away, so I'm thinking I will need atleast 300 watts. What do you guys think?

You should get [insert brand that I own here] because its better than any other brand. I know because I have [insert brand that I own here] right now.
Everyone will have their own opinion on this, good luck. I was a big fan of Alpine and kicker subs, but that was a few years ago.

I gotta loud box for sale. check out the bazaar. its a 12" ported box with an Resonant Engineering SE 12' and an infinity ref 610a hooked up to it w/ 700watts peak. which is around what you want if you want to be loud and not sound like a crappy bandpass box with 3 audiobahn subs in it hooked up to a lanzar amp

basically, the same we tell everyone. everyone has their own style, their own preferences....
post what wattage your looking for, what style (loud, clear, etc) and most importantly.. what your looking to spend on the system...
if your not speaker friendly yet, post what your looking at and we'll let you know if its a good deal or not.

yes, definetely post the price range your looking to spend, as well as what kind of power ur wanting to get out of the system, as there are a few of us on here that have complete systems for sale, that have different power ranges and setups....including myself
my setup: two 12's Kicker CompVR 800 watt/400 watt rms subs for total of 1600 watts max/800 watts rms (single voice coil 4 ohm subs)
sealed box with padding inside (this from what i understand helps the subs pound louder and clearer)
Power acoustik Gothic Series ov2.1600 amp (rated at 1600 watts max, 370 watts rms @ 2 ohms by 2 channels)
im looking to get $400 out of my system....

Yeah, everyone has their own opinion. Mine, I love Infinity. I have a 12.1 Perfect and it's just perfect. So that's what? 4 votes now for Infinity?

As far as a price, I'd like to keep it under $1000 if I can. I think I'm going to go on EBAY and find some deals, it seems like that is where the best prices are.

a lot of people say sony makes crappy subs, i have been pounding em everyday since july 2004, no issues.
and LMAO @ 300 watts. i am really not sure what im pushing but it has to be around 2k watts.

what kind of subs (power wise) are you wanting? theres all kinds of setups you can go with that keep you under $1000, so perhaps if you can determine what power range your wanting, we can point you to some more specific products.
