Head job

Well I got working on my 086 head. I decided not to port the exhaust port to much. So its just a small port and polish. But I did sharpen up the splits.

Lots of work and time than you think! After a few beers and two days of working this is where im at so far.
Its not perfect but it came out good!
Exhaust port

Intake ports

Plus I was limited to the tools that I had after I used up what I had and I was on a budget. So I had to improvise

Nice I've been thinking of having a former co-worker of mine port and polish my head for me and maybe rebuild the whole valve train with cams. I don't know if I should but he does really good work.

Not bad looking. You want the intake splits to have a nice rounded edge to split the air evenly and the exhaust splits should be knife edged to a sharp point. I know you have limited tools, but you may be able to pull it off.

Well I didnt really do much porting, the only porting was done to the splits to sharpen them up. I sanded and smooth out the walls and polished. Now if I had did a big porting job then yes I would test it.

You still could've changed things quite a bit more than you think. It's your head though.
