- Crank it over with a wrench on the crank pulley bolt and see if you can do it or it actually is seized (it will have some resistance due to compression unless you remove the spark plugs first)
- Pull the spark plugs and take a peek inside with a light to observe any liquid or metal debris on top of the pistons indicating any significant failure
- Drain the oil and observe any debris in it.

I had 2 engines spinning a main/rod bearing on me... the 2 started knocking and finally seized.. it can go pretty fast.. It took about 30 seconds to my first LD9 to be seized..
it can happen on all engines... the L67 of one of my buddy seized too.. main bearing failure
