Starting Issues

In the 2.4l the water pump is chain driven and as I understand it inside the timing chain cover.

Okay, so that makes sense as to why the hose has coolant in it. I just can't wrap my head around why it's frozen. I use premix so there couldn't be any possibility of poor mixing.

I'm reassembling the intake now and I'll try it with the new regulator. If that doesn't work, I'm going to tow it to a mechanic

Do u do a lot of short trip driving? If the engine isn't up to temp long enough to burn off the moisture, it will be a loosing battle

I occasionally do short trip driving, but the majority of my driving is highway driving. Usually 45 minutes or longer.

Car is currently at a mechanic. Haven't heard any word yet, but I'll update as soon as I do.
