shifter area

Hi all
Does someone have a how-to to take the part between the front seats apart? If possible a video? I have a 2 dr automatique, if that makes a differents.
I want to install LEDS in there and when i went to the store, there are SO many types of LEDs, which ones should I take?
Thanx!

Ok, remove the little clip that holds the shifter knob on (on the front side of the shifter knob). Then lightly pry up on the bezel around the shifter, the part that has your front cupholder in it) and it should pop up. Then disconnect the wire to the ETC switch. Now, open the console up and take the rubber mat out of the bottom. There are some screws in there. Then slide your seats all the way back and there is a bolt on each side holding it on. Then up near the front is a screw on each side (you have to pop the little oval shaped covers off). I think that's it.

I have a Bonneville shift knob. Mostly just because it's a little different. It's really nothing special.

depends. you can get a direct replacement (not sure what size bulb it is) or like what i did, and just drill holes in the white plastic underneath.. then mount 7x5mm leds underneath the PRND321 spots.

half way down page 1:
http://www.aleromod.com/forums/showt...&highlight=led

i used 3mm (cuz i had them) you can use 5mm. i used those before the 3mm.. and it worked just fine.

i put them on the wires, down further. it makes life easier, in this case.

as long as you have a resistor in the line... ANYWHERE... it works. it doesn't need to be attached directly TO the led.
