2000 Alero 3.4L Passlock or BCM ?

2000 Alero 3.4L Passlock or BCM ?
I have reviewed / searched through the PASSLOCK fixes.
Did Resistor mod via bergerweb.net/PasslockFix.
Did the 10 minute and 30 minute relearn procedures and still stuck.

Car will start and run for 2 seconds then quit.
When the key is turned to the on position the fuel pump primes and the instrument panel lights come on. After a few seconds then the security light comes on and remains on. It does not blink at all and it stays on the whole time during the relearn steps?

Radio comes on when the key is turned to the on position.
When the driver's door is open and the key is inserted into the ignition switch there used to be the chime sounding off, now that doesnt happen anymore ?
The automatic door locks and trunk release do not function.

I've checked all the fuses - Nothing blown.
Removed the Relays: Used a digital meter and checked each relay everything is OK nothing shorted and everything is with in spec.

Had a shop change out the Ignition switch with a DELCO OEM Switch.
The shop says I need a new BCM ? Dont wont to pay their prices ??

Went to a salvage yard and picked up a used BCM. Disconnected the battery hooked up the used BCM and reconnected the battery.
Tried the relearn again still the same issues. Car still doesnt run same symptoms.

Is it time for a remanufactured BCM:
Cardone Remanufactured - Body Control Computer
Part Number: 73-0179
Line: A1
1 Year Limited Warranty
Remanufactured
Regular Production Option (RPO)
Set-Up And Theft Relearn Is Required After Install
New Or Remanufactured: Remanufactured

Any suggestions ?
Thanks for all your help,

Wasn't it, that with a new BCM and so, you needed the Tech2 with its security option to enable / relearn the theft-lock?

I've got something in the back of my head, that there are easy thing whichcan be done at home, but some things needed a Tech2, especially with BCM / PCM and TheftLock.

You need a better shop. They are throwing parts at the problem at your expense.

This thought also occurred to me. I would just use whatever resistor (or resistor combination) gave me the almost or exactly the same ohms. But then again, I have a good sized electronics parts bin.
