How to remove dimmer module

I fried the dimmer module in my 2003 alero over winter break and just now I finally diagnosed it, the problem is I have no idea how to get it out.... It is not to be confused with the dimmer switch located to the left of the steering wheel, it is a separate module that you can see if you take off the plastic insulation underneath the dash just above the gas and brake pedals. if you follow the break pedal up into the interior then you can see where it is located. The problem is I have no idea how to get this part out.... I cannot fit any socket wrench over it because some other random components get in the way please help!

It might help if you can get a pic of it. I don't have an N body anymore so I can't go out and look.

If you can't get a socket wrench, have you tried the ratcheting wrenches?
