Greetings

Hey im new to the forum, i have a 99 2.4 I4 alero GLS its like dull silver color

its a 4spd

just wondering what can i do to squeeze some power out of this thing w/o going to over board

Are there nitrous kits avail for this model engine

What is the strentgh of the block and are any internals forged

welcome. and i'd do some basic engine beefing, before i'd throw nitrous in there...

where in ny are you? we have a few in the western part of the state.

I don't know what the maximum power that the bottom end can take. But you can get forged internals. Pistons by Wiseco and rods by Eagle. Don't know who makes bearings.

It's pretty strong, I don't know exact specifics but I would guess you could easily hold around 250. When searching for crap for our cars search under 2.4L cavalier, it's the same engine. Also search under 2.4L LD9 that is what the engine is actually called. If you have minor auto knowledge just get a sport compact (4 cylinder) nitrous kit and hook it up, you don't need anything specific unless you are running a sick amount of nos.
