Here's the deal guys... my 2000 Alero GL 2.4 while driving it makes a sound like the turn signal is on... When I hit the dash board above the 4 way flasher button it goes away but then my 4 ways and turn signals stop working. I looked in the fuse box and under the hood n the relay box but cannot locate a flasher relay is it behind the switch in the dash or is there one not even there? What is causing this problem? Also my seat belt light flashes while driving the car, don't know what the issue is there either. HELP ME !!

i think there is a recall on the flashers. you should take it to a dealership.

tell me about it, i went to push the hazard button one day and the whole damn things flew straight into the dash, luckily taking off the black plastic by the spedo allowed me to get to it, and luckily i keep a set of tools in my car

Yeah, I tried just picking up mine and they wouldn't give it to me. They had to install it.

I got a letter in the mail a few weeks ago from Olds about the hazard switch. It said that you could take it to the dealership to get it fixed free of charge, or you could get reimbursed if you get it fixed at another shop (if they approve of the charges).

I just started having the same issue last week, but haven't received any letter from GM about the recall to fix this issue. I've got to check with a local dealer tommrow to get this fixed.
