Alright well I've like many others here have experienced with the 3.4 lower manifold intake gasket going well mine went the first time at 67 k and now its gone again and i'm only sitting at 80 k what i'm wondering if it is possible to find cast iron headers for the ^&$*#@&*#^@^# thing would certainly fix this problem permanently! So if any of ya guys have any ideas if I could find them plz send me an email tearless_pain@hotmail.com thx

i hope you mean cast iron HEADS, because headers are not connected to your lower intake gasket.

and NO, going to iron heads will not fix the lower intake gasket leak.

make sure you use GM replacement intake gaskets, since they are the revised with new stuff and tq specs.

ive personally had Felpro on my turbo'd 3400 hitting 15psi occasionally and not had an issue.

make sure the gasket surface is clean and free of ANY oil, coolant, old gasket material.

and make sure you torque it down correctly.

and the only thing iron heads will fix is the pesky head gasket blowout that happens rarely on N/A cars and happens occasionally on boosted cars (thats why the L67 has iron heads)
