Well, coolant has been insanely low the last couple weeks.. so went in today to have it flushed and refilled at jiffy lube. Failed the pressure test so no flush, but atleast I got free coolant out of it. They figured out the leak was my water pump.

Anyone have any idea what the dealer will charge for replacement? Also, any risk aside from losing the coolant if i drive on it for a while?

Thanks.

make absolutely sure its your water pump.........a lot of people have these symptoms and its cause they have a leaky intake manifold gasket......just make sure absolutely that thats your problem.....

Pump was actually flinging water up from what they said. Haven't had anything funky show up in my coolant/oil yet either.

I'm really hoping it's just the water pump.

There super simple to replace you can do it yourself in about 35-45 minutes.

Well.. took it in to the dealer today. All my coolant was gone by sunday, so I had to do something about it. 300$ later my pump is replaced, and they said i have the dreaded LIM leak. Still external for now, but hopefully it'll last until I finish getting raped by taxes.

Wow $300 to put in a $25 part. That's just makes me feel that much better about being able to work on my own cars.
