Think I'll notice any gains? If not, I find that it still looks better than stock.

My friend bought one for his 1996 Nissan 240sx and it sounds alright without the silencer.. a little loud at times, but not too loud.

This will sound ricey, very ricey

Plus it's too big, it will hurt preformance. Go no bigger than 2.5"

Has anyone heard one of these on a 3.4? I'm sure it sounds like poop on a little 1.2L honda motor, but what about on something bigger....

On my friend's Nissan 240sx 4-cylinder it gives a deep throaty sound without the silencer (I've never heard a "ricer", but I'm assuming it is a very loud whining noise like a dirt bike or something). It's almost comparable to a full-size truck's noise. With the silencer, it is a bit more quiet with not as much bass so I'm assuming it would be almost the same for my 4-cylinder Alero. For the 6-cylinder, I'm guessing it would maybe be a big quieter since the engine doesn't work as hard as the 4-cylinder. I'm not quite sure, though. Just my analysis. The muffler has a 2.5" intake and a 4" outtake tip. It's not 4" the whole way passed the pipe connector. If you want it to be 2.5" the whole way, just bolt the silencer on it.

i know they sound good on the 3.0l is300

still similar sound, ricey, but the six makes it alot deeper....

i prefer the slp sound on an american car, but i think an is300 would be a little weird with a flowmaster or slp setup.

for the same reason i dont like these mufflers on aleros, or any other american car for that matter.

is300 exhaust

Alright. The "ricer" muffler I was refering to comes in on August 10th. If I get the chance, I'll post a link to what it sounds like on my 2001 2.4L.

If you just do the muffler is may sound OK. I have a fiberglass pack chrome muffler on my ALero and it doesn't sound rice at all. In fact, it has a deep tone. I never removed my resonator from my exhaust either.

I had a 95 Hyundai Accent for my ex-wife (when we were married) and put on a nice black muffler with a chrome tip. About 2.5" on a 1" exhaust. It had a nice deep tone to it. People at work thought I dropped a V-6 in it

This may sound like a dumb question, but.. where is the exhaust resonator? I only see the cat converter and the odd-shaped muffler. I always thought the resonator was built into the muffler since I see the pipes coming from the cat line up with the out pipes and there's this extra meat to the muffler off to the passenger side.
