Pacesetter Header help
Hey I got the armor coated pacesetter header and it looks like they welded the flange too close to the O2 sensor bung. I cann't get the screw in through the hole without it hitting it. Am I doing something wrong or did Pacesetter weld this wrong?

ahhh that sucks
so with the bolt inserted the other way you can't get it in because the angle's too steep to fit through the hole? (the bolt goes in the other way)

except i bought this new from some guy on JBO but no bolts were included, at Midas we used some other bolts. they don't need to be that long.

put the header in first. then you'll have to drop the bolts into those holes. for that particular one, you can hammer it in. if you have long wrenches, it would help in the hammering process, so you can ad more swing to the hammer.

I went to two custom exhaust shops, and meineki and they all said they won't install the header because its too hard for them?? The only place that would do it for me is monro muffler or something like that, quoted 180 bucks.

180.. They charge 90 an hour for labor most likely.. I had Street Legal Customs install my exhaust.. 160 for install.. so That sounds about right for a 2 hour job.

Update...
Well just went to Monro muffler to have it done, they start to do it and they come to me and say, "we can't get the bolts off and we don't want to force them off and break them, then you will be screwed". GAH! I need a damn place who will install this for me!!!

Its not that hard to do it yourself if no shop will do it for you it just takes time cause its a tight fit.I would just do yourself and bring it to an exhaust shop to have them weld the down pipe to the rest of the exhaust.

Yeah but what if I break a bolt like all the shops say, will I officially be screwed?

You could be unless you want to drill out the bolt and put a new one in if thats possible.I dont think your going to find a shop that will do it for cheap $ if your bolts are that bad.
