Now my door is rattling?!

Ok so after spending a few hours per week stopping all the new rattles that form, my car has virtually 0 rattle from the inside. almost non existent. as of late, my drivers side door has started to rattle ever so slightly, then this week its rattling enough to where it actually seems to decrease the SPL. you can hear the door rattle during any note under 45hz. that flap in the wind noise where all the air is escaping. it shakes around the hinge like crazy. from the inside, the entire door/panel shakes back and forth. even gripping the handle on the door and shoving my arm against it only works a little. is there a way to keep this from getting worse? its already pretty damn bad. any help is greatly appreciated. t

sounds to me that you have the same problem as I have. The likely and most known problem(especially with GM) is the door latch bushings\bearings get worn out. Check and see if that is the problem.

maybe move the latch on the door "applique" in a little. get the door to seal harder?

you just loosen the 2 bolts on it, and tap it with a hammer a bit.

It sounds like you may have rattled something loose. Be sure to check all of your bolts, and try what Chris said.

After you do all of that, I would seriously think about applying some SecondSkin or some other dampener to the door. This will prevent any other future problems.
